SENIOR ARCHITECT / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT LEADER

WORTHGROUP Architects & Designers is seeking an experienced Senior Architect / Business Development Leader to help grow and diversify its national architectural and interior design practice specializing in high-end hospitality, entertainment, gaming and mixed-use projects.  While marketing and sales functions are the primary need for the position, architecture project responsibilities are expected as well.

As a Senior Architect, this individual will be accountable for project performance, technical expertise, client management, financial and accounting considerations and staffing/human resource issues.  As a Business Development Leader, this individual will have primary accountability for all aspects of business development, sales, marketing and public relations including revenue generation and growth. The BD Leader will be responsible for initiating and maintaining extensive contacts with key potential clientele, industry representatives, organizations and companies identified within the company’s strategic plan.  Candidate must have excellent judgment regarding opportunity prioritization, and will collaborate with internal and external leadership to identify, acquire, and retain new and current client relationships.   He/she will answer directly to the firm’s management team and partners regarding performance and compliance.

An aggressive strategic growth plan is in place for WORTHGROUP, and the Architect / Business Development Leader will play a key role in championing initiatives by industry specialization and geographic location.  Involvement with firm marketing / business development activities is a core focus of the position, and the ideal candidate will bring an established network of clients, vendors, contractors and other industry contacts to the table.  The individual must also be willing to travel nationally / internationally and bring refined presentation skills.  The alignment of other key stakeholders in the regional office is critical to the position’s success.

The preferred candidate will be a leader on both an internal and external level – capable of advising, guiding and collaborating with clients, consultants and internal staff.  Candidates must have strong management, communications and organizational skills, and have proven experience meeting budgets, deadlines and multi-tasking across large-scale and/or multiple projects.  The preferred architect will thrive in a culture centered upon training and professional growth of staff, and be capable of mentoring and educating developing team members for increased roles and responsibilities and to delegate assignments and authority as appropriate.  Additional direct interaction with other senior managers and partners is expected.

Quality control of documents and deliverables produced is an important aspect of this architect’s job function.  The leader will be accountable and responsible for the overall quality of documents produced within the office, and be expected to contribute to peer review efforts for other office locations.

Minimum of 10+ years experience and solid technology proficiency including Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office. Other industry-specific software expertise a plus. AIA, NCARB and other registrations expected. A Bachelor/ Master’s Degree from an accredited Architecture program is required.

MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

WORTHGROUP Architects & Designers is seeking an experienced Marketing & Business Development Manager to help grow and diversify it national architectural and interior design practice specializing in high-end hospitality, entertainment, gaming and mixed-use projects.  The Manager will coordinate key aspects of the company’s Sales, Marketing and Client Management activities.

The sales expertise required for this aspect of the role is tactical in nature, aiming to identify and secure potential customers/clients to engage the company for its design services. The Manager must inherently be engaged in the community – with skill sets in networking, the establishment of a strong industry presence/profile, RFP targeting, market research, and outreach with owners, operators, vendors, providers and other development participants as highlights. The ideal Manager will have experience with local associations, industry trade shows, developing prospect and referral source lists, and assisting in following up after direct mail campaigns via email and phone calls.

The marketing aspect of the Manager position is more high-level and content driven, concentrating on the production of collateral and other assets that consistently convey the capabilities, services, achievements and brand messaging of the organization. Material development, advertising, public relations, sponsorships, digital media, community outreach, project close-outs and award submissions are some of the tools the Marketing Manager will develop and oversee to help raise awareness about the firm’s capabilities.

Minimum of 10+ years experience and solid technology proficiency including Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress and typical social media channels/tools (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Vimeo, MailChimp, HootSuite, etc.) are required. MARKETING, CONTENT & SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

WORTHGROUP Architects & Designers is seeking a Marketing & Business Development Intern with specific capabilities in content creation, proposal support and social media oversight.  The ideal candidate will help grow and diversify a national practice specializing in architecture and interior design services for the high-end hospitality, entertainment, gaming and mixed-use sectors.

The ideal intern will provide as-needed administrative support to the firm’s principals and Marketing/Business Development Manager. Requirements for the Intern position include strong writing, communication and graphic design skills, as well as other diverse technical and organizational capabilities. Expertise with website maintenance, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite are mandatory, as well as proven track records with social media applications for business environments and RFP generation.

Candidate must offer solid technology proficiency including Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress and typical social media channels/tools (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Vimeo, MailChimp, HootSuite, etc.).

Note that the hiring organization is located near the I-25 & Broadway Light Rail station, proximate to the University of Denver and Auraria Campus.  Flexible schedules to accommodate current students or other part-time interns will be considered.
