WORTHGROUP Architects served as Architect and Interior Designer for the Apache Nugget Travel Plaza & Casino, a vibrant destination located along U.S. Highway 550 in northern New Mexico. Developed for the Jicarilla Apache Nation, this project combines the efficiency and convenience of a full-service travel plaza with the entertainment and hospitality offerings of a boutique gaming facility.

The completed complex features a contemporary casino floor, convenience store, fueling station, and dining area—all designed with the guest experience in mind. The architecture reflects a refined Southwestern character, using natural materials, warm color palettes, and regional motifs that celebrate the cultural heritage and landscape of the Jicarilla Apache people.

The design integrates comfort, functionality, and visual identity, supporting both local economic growth and tourism within the region. Interior spaces are crafted to balance high energy and relaxation, providing travelers and guests a welcoming atmosphere that blends cultural authenticity with modern amenities.

The multidisciplinary team brought together expertise across architecture, engineering, and specialty design to deliver a project that serves as both a community anchor and a key economic driver for the Nation.
