SAC N’ FOX TRAVEL CENTER

WORTHGROUP Architects is providing full architectural and design services for the Sac & Fox Trad’n Post, a new convenience store and fueling center designed to complement the existing Sac & Fox Truck Stop and Casino. Situated on a 31-acre parcel, this new development activates approximately nine acres of currently undeveloped land, transforming it into a functional, guest-focused retail and travel destination.

The design centers on a simple, efficient layout that aligns with the Tribe’s established brand identity while elevating the guest experience through thoughtful detailing, cohesive materials, and modern amenities. The approximately 5,000-square-foot convenience store will include a beer and wine cave, a proprietary hot and cold deli program with seating for up to 20 guests, expanded restrooms, a truckers’ lounge, and an attached tribal smoke shop with potential drive-thru service.

The exterior site design accommodates three multi-product dispensers (MPDs) under a 24′ x 108′ canopy for passenger vehicles and an additional three diesel islands under a 30′ x 84′ canopy with DEF hoses, allowing for convenient truck access and parking for up to 15 trucks.

With an estimated construction budget of $7 million, the project is being developed under a negotiated contract with a selected general contractor. The design approach prioritizes operational efficiency, safety, and maintainability, while creating a cohesive visual identity across the Tribe’s growing network of hospitality and travel venues.

The multidisciplinary project team includes:

  • Architecture & Design: WORTHGROUP Architects, Denver, CO
  • Structural Engineering: K2 Engineering, Reno, NV
  • Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Engineering: BG Consultants, Lawrence, KS

The Sac & Fox Trad’n Post is envisioned as a vital new amenity for both local residents and regional travelers—celebrating the Sac & Fox Nation’s commitment to growth, community service, and economic development through quality design and forward-thinking planning.
