The project entails the design and construction of a new Travel Center fueling station located in Yreka, California. The site is approximately 5-6 acres of Karuk Tribe Trust land, just South of the Rain Rock Casino Resort & Hotel. The fueling station will provide up to 20 passenger fueling positions and 5 high speed diesel fueling lanes. The project is anticipated to utilize underground fuel storage tanks, designed and installed in compliance with relevant EPA requirements. Approximately 50 passenger parking stalls and 15-20 truck parking stalls are anticipated on the site and EV charging positions will be provided. The Travel Center is expected to be a single building of approximately 10,000 square feet and is anticipated to be constructed of structural steel with metal stud framing. Exterior materials are anticipated to include exterior insulation and finish system (EFIS), applied stone veneer, exterior tile, storefront glazing, and heavy timber framing. The building will include a convenience store with typical retail offerings (hot and cold food items, reach in beverage coolers, snacks & convenience items, etc.), a fountain beverage station, quick serve food venue, restrooms, and trucker amenities that may consist of a lounge, laundry area, and showers. Approximately 10 restroom stalls are anticipated in the facility, along with 4-5 private shower stalls.
