WORTHGROUP Shares “Behind-the-Design” Details of the Recently Opened Cahuilla Casino Hotel:

ANZA, CALIFORNIA — NOVEMBER 2020 — The Cahuilla Band of Indians of Anza, California, had a lot to celebrate in early July. The Cahuilla Casino Hotel held its much anticipated grand opening as the Community celebrated the unveiling of this signature new resort project. This Casino & Hotel was designed with the vision of providing Southern Californians with a destination experience only possible at Cahuilla. WORTHGROUP was proud to partner with the Cahuilla Band of Indians on this project. With the grand opening behind us, join WORTHGROUP in their excitement to share behind-the-design details that went into this fantastic new property.

The Casino:

The design of the new Cahuilla Casino Hotel resort is inspired by the spectacular sunset over Mount Cahuilla, this vision is woven into every aspect of the property. The site is positioned to maximize mountain views, the rolling hills are interpreted into the building’s main entry, and the palette throughout the property reflects the different essences captured in the awe-inspiring sunset. The casino represents the dark purple and blue tones of the sunset, while the restaurant captures the warm red tones, and the Hotel displays the calming and relaxing blue tones.

Upon arrival, the guests are welcomed by an energizing Casino floor. The mountain landscape is re-interpreted as geometric patterns throughout the interior and the dynamic carpet patterns, designed to capture the natural architecture of Mount Cahuilla, draw guests into the casino and provide a natural pathway towards the entertainment venues and brand new food & beverage experiences.

The Bar, the property’s signature destination, creates a high-energy focal point of the casino with built in gaming and large-scale monitors including multiple television screens.

The mountain inspiration carries into the forms and design of the new Ribbonwood Grill, with the sunset’s warm color tones prevalent throughout the space. Guests in the large, open-dining area enjoy picturesque views to Mount Cahuilla and the locally inspired art. To set a private, more exclusive mood to dine, drapery panels were provided to capture a more intimate setting.

The Hotel:

Welcomed by a soothing color scheme, the hotel lobby allows the guest to disconnect from the high energy spaces and invites them to relax and re-energize. The art throughout the property was carefully selected to reflect the surrounding nature. When the guests are ready to wind down and settle into comfort, the arrival to the lobby and walk to their room sets the tone for relaxation.

The guestrooms are a combination of suites, double queen and king rooms. While every room may have a different design, the strategic planning of the building allows for every room to have beautiful mountain views. The corner window rooms allow the guest to have breathtaking sunrise and sunset views.

Each guestroom provides its guests with an exceptional environment for comfort and relaxation. With spacious bathrooms, including a soaking tub, standing showers with five setting shower heads, double vanities and lit mirrors, guests are sure to find their reset button and recharge.

The new Cahuilla Casino Hotel is nearly three times the size of its original property after this completed expansion project. As a collaborative team, WORTHGROUP was able to work very closely with the Client to achieve the desired design aesthetics, while being mindful of budget. Tribal Leadership was involved in every aspect of this project, from conceptual design throughout construction. Working closely together to select every finish, from paint to linens, the collaborative efforts made this project a success.

We look forward to visiting and encourage those that are nearby to visit as well.
